SRPA Residential Visits

Our residential programme of visits across KS3 and KS4 are progressive in the challenges students will encounter.

In the final weeks of the summer term of Year 7, we take the opportunity to visit PGL in Caythorpe, in the heart of the countryside, just north of Grantham. These visits last for two and a half days and are packed full of adventures on land and water, designed to inspire, motivate, and challenge our students. Whether it’s a leap for the trapeze bar or a team canoeing challenge, the activities at Caythorpe Court encourage our students to enjoy learning something new.

In Year 9, the visits is further afield to Sealyham Active Learning Centre, a dedicated coastal destination. This centre offers a whole range of outdoor activities both off, on and in the water. Situated conveniently for visits to numerous beaches and other coastal areas, it provides the perfect setting for a fun- filled, action-packed residential experience.

Our final residential trip takes place in the September of Year 11 and takes our students across to north Wales. The Towers Active Learning Centre is located in the heart of one of the most stunning mountain areas of the UK. Offering a range of challenging offsite outdoor activities, The Towers provides the perfect setting for experiencing the best of what Snowdonia National Park can offer. From rugged, lofty peaks, to wild climbing crags and gorges to both explore and create adventures.

Our students return form these visits more confident in a group and having had lots of fun and excitement. In addition, these visits support the development of communication skills, in problem-solving situation and the general fitness, health and wellbeing of our young people.
