House Fundraising Challenge

Fundraising has always been a huge part of our community here at SRPA. We annually contribute to national fundraisers such as Comic Relief, Sport Relief and Children in Need. We also support our community by donating a proportion of our fundraising to hold a Christmas Party for the residents of the North Hykeham Day Centre as well as all R2L groups contributing personalised hampers too.

This year we have developed our programme into a House competition. Each house democratically select their own charity through their student leadership representatives. A significant proportion of all fundraising then goes towards that cause.

The house that raises the most by the end of the year wins the Fundraising Cup. The Fundraising Cup points then contribute to the winner of the House competition and ultimately the Governors Cup in the Summer.

The Charity for each House this year is:

Our students have been encouraged to make their own choice regarding fundraising for their charity. This could be by walking a marathon (like Captain Tom Moore), doing a dance-athon, or wearing a certain colour for the month. Students will collect donations through the house fundraising pages that will be set up in due course.

The fundraising activities start on the 22 June but the fundraising links are now live. The deadline for donations to be received will be 19th July. In accordance with GDPR guidelines, we would suggest that it is better not to mention a student’s name when making a donation and posting a comment on the fundraising page. However, this is at your own discretion.

We will announce which house has raised the most in the last week of term along with celebrating outstanding individual achievements too. Please remember all donations, regardless of amount, are gratefully received by our charities and we are specifically looking to recognise the effort of our students in this activity. Charity fundraising is just one of the ways that students can receive a colours tie. Mr Hardy will be awarding these again at the end of the summer term and will be watching this project with real interest.
